BIOGRAPHY
Bolu Akinyode enters his first season with El Paso Locomotive FC.
Signed during the 2024 offseason, Bolu arrives in El Paso after three seasons with Miami FC. He started 90 of 94 matches and was the team’s leader in interceptions (122), tackles won (204) and duels won (639) during his stint in South Florida.
The Nigerian-born midfielder brings extensive league experience, registering 16,784 league minutes and 215 league matches between Miami, New York Red Bulls II, Philadelphia Union II (formerly Bethlehem Steel FC), Nashville SC and Birmingham Legion FC. He also had a stint with North Carolina FC when the club was a member of the North American Soccer League (NASL).
At the international youth level, Akinyode has represented Nigeria at the U-14 level. He played NCAA DI soccer for Seton Hall University between 201114.
