WHAT IS AN ID CAMP?
One of our goals is to explore players in this area through the ID Camp sessions and see if we can find potential players to add to our Academy teams. If we find a player, we will not add that player automatically to our Academy for next year, instead, we will invite them to training sessions and see how they interact with our current players. Only after this process, with the confirmation of the Academy Director and the Academy coaching staff, will we make a final decision on addition.
Our Academy will not have tryouts.
Instead of tryouts, we will have ID Camp sessions. These sessions will have a cost attached, which amount represents the ambition that someone shows in order to join our Academy and covers field rentals, coaching fees, and equipment costs.
This is called the Process of Identification.

Things to Know About the U20 USL Academy League Team
Our U20 USL Academy League Team is fully funded, which means players play, travel, and geared up for free – all costs are covered by El Paso Locomotive FC.
All training sessions are in the morning, at the Westside Complex, on the Locos Fields. Training time is 7:30am each morning.
Our U20 USL Academy League Team serves as a Reserves Team for our professional USL Championship First Team, which means, often times players are training together with the First Team. This is also the reason why this team trains in the morning hours, so they can be matched up with our professional team.
We have a full-time College Recruitment Coordinator, who is responsible helping our players finding opportunities to continue their academic and athletic careers on the intercollegiate level. In the last two seasons, we have had over 20 players going to college to play soccer from our U20 team. Part of this effort we are going to participate in numerous showcase events in order to create possibilities for our players to be seen by college coaches.
Full-time Academy Athletic Trainer at every training session and game.
Recording every training session and game.
Members of this team are not allowed to participate in High School Soccer in any capacity.
