EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC announced today that it has mutually agreed to part ways with forward Petur Knudsen, midfielder Joel Maldonado and defender Jose Carrillo.
Carrillo and Knudsen both came in during the second half of the 2023 season to strengthen the Locomotive roster in the push for a playoff berth. Knudsen made eight appearances on the front line whereas Carrillo had four appearances during his time in El Paso.
Maldonado had six appearances in the 2022 season as a USL Academy player and made club history as one of the first homegrown academy products (alongside Diego Abarca) to sign a professional contract.
El Paso Locomotive FC would like to thank each player for their time with the club and wish them the best in their future endeavors.
Future roster transactions will be announced as Locomotive prepares for its sixth season in the USL Championship.
